Emma's Secret -713 Emma Street # 4 - Key West

The asking price for 713 Emma Street #4 just got a lot more tantalizing: it has been reduced to just $399,000. The four unit compound was built in 2005. Each unit is slightly different but each unit has top of the line fixtures, amenities, and workmanship. I can't say that about a lot of properties in town. But this place is so fine that I invite would-be buyers to call me to schedule a showing. Then we can do some comparison shopping so you can see for yourself how this place stacks up against similarly priced properties in all parts of Key West.

The listing broker describes this property this way:
"Stylish 3BD, 2.5BA condominium situated in a secured and private courtyard setting. Just blocks from Duval St & built as the owners unit 1995, it is in beautiful shape. Fine craftsman ship & materials throughout include Brazilian hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, granite counters, sub-zero refrigerator, Viking stainless gas stove and Bosch dishwasher & compactor. Lounge by the designer pool with waterfall surrounded by a tumbled brick patio. Enjoy the luxuries of modern construction with GE smart wiring, Hardiboard siding, , assigned off-street parking and storm shutters. Walk to local attraction, restaurants and shops. Just four units in the development."
The gated entry to the complex lets you know you have arrived someplace special and secretive. When the gate opens your eyes travel down the bricked pathway past the pool and finally view the water wall. It looks like an ever changing mirror of water cascading down into a pool. The small courtyard separates the four units and provides some shared and soe private spaces for each property owner.

This home is located at the far rear on the south side. It gets morning light which breaks into the kitchen and living room. All rooms have beautiful crown molding, rich real wood floors, and designer light fixtures. The kitchen is just gorgeous.. You will not find a prettier kitchen for this price in this town. Period.

The third bedroom the listing broker refers to opens directly onto the kitchen so it can do double duty as a guest room, office, or a third bedroom if required. This room has its own private bath. This bedroom has an entrance onto its own private rear porch.

The two bedrooms upstairs have vaulted ceilings and separate en-suite baths. There is a beautiful stairway between the two floors that has a window that illuminates the stairway and provides a glimpse of the pool below. I don't recall having ever seen such a beautiful staircase in any home at this price point.

If you are shopping just by "price point" you need to see this home. If you are shopping for value you need to see this home. If you are shopping for a 3 bedroom home priced under $500,000 you definitely need to see this home. CLICK HERE to checkout the Key West mls data sheet and to view more photos of this property.

If you don't know the area, the Shipyard Townhomes are located 1/2 block to the north, Santiago's Bodega is 1/2 block to the south, and Blue Heaven is just one block to the east. Ft Zachary Taylor State Park and Beach is a five minute walk.

I saw this place when it was priced higher. It was out of my range, but now that it is listed under $400 - wow. Somepeople might not want to be in Bahama Village - they should look elsewhere. But if you're going to be in BV, this is the place to be...right around the corner from Blue Heaven & Santiago's...it's a gated/locked compound - so secure...and, when they develop the marina it will haev great resale to someone with a big boat that wants alos wants a condo!

Dear Anon, You may also remember the really beautiful single family home next door to the south with the gorgeous pool. This is a really nice block for any part of town.

Gary

Gary Thomas in a Nutshell

My photo
Key West, Florida, United States
I first read about Key West in a magazine called "After Dark" sometime in the mid 1970's. But it wasn't until March 1984 that I made my first visit to the island that would become my home. I had two weeks for a vacation and reserved a room at Colours Guesthouse (now Marrero's Guest House) for one week. I thought that if I didn't like Key West, I could always go back to Miami or Ft. Lauderdale for the rest of my trip. But after a couple of days in Key West, that was no longer a consideration. But when I wanted to extend my stay for the extra week I found there was no room at the inn. The guesthouse owner did find me a room at LaTeDa, the infamous guesthouse/restaurant. That's a story I'll write another day. But those two weeks in Key West gave me the realization that I had found Paradise. Key West has been my home since 1993 and my only regret is that it took me so long to get here. I am a full time Realtor at Preferred Properties CRI. Let me help you find your new home or business in Paradise. Living in Paradise is not a slogan, it's a way of life.
