1708 Catherine Street, Key West - Just Listed

Just Listed by yours truly, 1708 Catherine Street, Key West. This mid-town area two bedroom home has just been updated. The modern kitchen has new stainless steel appliances, granite counter-top, and breakfast bar. The living room, dining area, and adjacent Florida room provide comfortable living spaces in a relaxed environment. You will also see the clean marble floor carry though-out the house with the exception of the Florida room which has a Cuban tile floor.
A center hall leads to the two bedrooms and bathroom. The bathroom has been stylishly updated as well. Gone is the 1952 coral tile bath and fixtures. Today's bath is modern and attractive. Both bedrooms are good sized and have ample closets for storage. Note the Bahama shutters on the bedroom and living room windows. Those shutters are purely for decoration. All of the windows in this home (except the Florida room) are now impact glass.
This home sits on a 60' by 88' lot (5280 sq ft). There is plenty of room in the back yard for a pool. There is also a 12' by 12' storage shed which could be converted to a pool cabana.  There is an under- utilized patio and laundry room. Not everybody needs a pool, but families with kids need a place for the kids to play and experience the joys of childhood. This lot offers all kinds of possibilities to the new owners. Speaking of kids, this home is located within about a five minute walk to the Horace O'Bryant School located at the corner of Catherine Street at Leon Street. The Key West Charter Montessori School is also located about five minutes away by foot. Key West High School is located about half a mile to the south and east, but it is still within walking or skateboarding distance.

1708 Catherine Street is offered for sale at $479,000. CLICK HERE to view the Key West mls datasheet. Then please call me, Gary Thomas, 305-766-2642 to set up a private showing of this cute family home in a nice Key West neighborhood. I am a full time Realtor at Preferred Properties Key West. Second home buyers from outside Key West might want to consider this home as well. Not everybody wants to spend a million dollars to buy a getaway place in Key West.

This is a good deal - I was curious what the price was going to be when I got to the bottom and it is lower than I expected.

Gary Thomas in a Nutshell

My photo
Key West, Florida, United States
I first read about Key West in a magazine called "After Dark" sometime in the mid 1970's. But it wasn't until March 1984 that I made my first visit to the island that would become my home. I had two weeks for a vacation and reserved a room at Colours Guesthouse (now Marrero's Guest House) for one week. I thought that if I didn't like Key West, I could always go back to Miami or Ft. Lauderdale for the rest of my trip. But after a couple of days in Key West, that was no longer a consideration. But when I wanted to extend my stay for the extra week I found there was no room at the inn. The guesthouse owner did find me a room at LaTeDa, the infamous guesthouse/restaurant. That's a story I'll write another day. But those two weeks in Key West gave me the realization that I had found Paradise. Key West has been my home since 1993 and my only regret is that it took me so long to get here. I am a full time Realtor at Preferred Properties CRI. Let me help you find your new home or business in Paradise. Living in Paradise is not a slogan, it's a way of life.
