1007 Eaton Street, Key West - Just Listed!

Just Listed 1007 Eaton Street, Key West, Florida. Better act quickly on this lovely three bedroom two bath home located in Old Town. What you can't see from the front is exactly why you will want to grab this place ASAP.This house sits on a very deep 107 foot lot which has two off street parking spaces entered off Thompson Lane. The rear yard currently has a large deck and garden with room for a pool.
I dug into my old shoebox and found the above black and white photo which shows 1007 Eaton Street when it was photographed in 1965.  Notice the louvered door on the first floor. If you look carefully you also will see the intricate porch rails that still exist today.
This is a single family house with one bedroom and one bath on the first plus plus a large living, kitchen, and dining area. French doors at the rear open out to a sizable wood deck. The laundry area is tucked into a shed off the deck area.
There are two off street parking spaces located behind the rear property line fence.  I believe there is plenty of room for a pool behind the home. CLICK HERE to view more photos of the home and grounds.
There are two good sized bedrooms on the second floor which share the renovated bath. A door from the bath opens out to the second floor rear deck which an added bonus to this home. Another door opens from the rear bedroom onto the deck. Bring your creativity and see how you might recreate this space. Note that this house has a new roof and skylights in the rear bedroom and bathroom. These add nice light.
CLICK HERE to view the Key West MLS datasheet and then call me, Gary Thomas, 305-766-2642. I am the listing Realtor on this 1368 sq ft Old Town home which is vacant and easy to show. Offered at $649,000.

Hi Gary,

Lots of houses on these two blocks from Grinnell to White were sold, renovated then put back up for sale. Is this the only one with off-street parking...and tons of it actually?

Dear Anon - The photo shows the two off street parking spaces located on Thompson Lane.

I had two showings late Monday, one today at 9:30.

Better not wait. It won't last long.

Gary

Gary Thomas in a Nutshell

My photo
Key West, Florida, United States
I first read about Key West in a magazine called "After Dark" sometime in the mid 1970's. But it wasn't until March 1984 that I made my first visit to the island that would become my home. I had two weeks for a vacation and reserved a room at Colours Guesthouse (now Marrero's Guest House) for one week. I thought that if I didn't like Key West, I could always go back to Miami or Ft. Lauderdale for the rest of my trip. But after a couple of days in Key West, that was no longer a consideration. But when I wanted to extend my stay for the extra week I found there was no room at the inn. The guesthouse owner did find me a room at LaTeDa, the infamous guesthouse/restaurant. That's a story I'll write another day. But those two weeks in Key West gave me the realization that I had found Paradise. Key West has been my home since 1993 and my only regret is that it took me so long to get here. I am a full time Realtor at Preferred Properties CRI. Let me help you find your new home or business in Paradise. Living in Paradise is not a slogan, it's a way of life.
