Price Reduction - Key West Beach Club Unit #413

The lure of the sea, that is what it is. It is the ever changing views of sky and water; the birds and boats and man that make the reflections seen in the mirror at the new Preferred Properties listing at Key West Beach Club Condominiums so captivating.  No matter which unit I have gone to at the Beach Club, my eyes are always immediately drawn through the unit and out to the direct water view. You see, only at Key West Beach Club does each unit come with a direct water view.

If you venture up the spiral staircase you might just fall in love with this place. I'd definitely make this my master suite. I'm not fond of spiral stairs, but I'd make an extra special exception in this case. The space is just wonderful.

I think I must have been a seaman in a former life. But I get seasick, so I probably wasn't.  Still, I love to just stare at the horizon and watch the sky and ocean change colors. When storms head our way the sky turns gray and ominous.  The wind blows and the palm trees sway.  The ocean churns and spits up seaweed. The afternoon I took these photos a bunch of turtle sponges had washed ashore (see the second photo from the top). At night you may see the tiny lights on boats out in deeper water. 701 Washington Street - The Casa Marina Area - Key West


The asking price on 701 Washington Street in the premier Casa Marina Area was just reduced to $1,980,000. The listing Realtor describes this new buying opportunity thus:

Buyers looking for a big house at a great price in a wonderful location should read on. The original home was built in 1959. The home was totally renovated over a two year period and was completed in 2009.

The renovation included all new natural stone and hardwood floors (except where original Cuban Tile was retained). Each of the four en-suite baths plus guest bath feature marble, granite, or onyx and designer bath fixtures. Suntubes were introduced to provide natural lighting into many areas of the home. Custom made eight foot mahogany bi-fold doors were added to the new game room which opens out to the pool area. While they still may not putt on the grounds at the Casa Marina, the hotel is still an integral part of life in Key West. You can purchase a membership to the Casa Marina beach club and use the gym, spa, and beach as often as you want. I recently sold a home in the area to a doctor and his family who joined the club. They are delighted with the decision because it enhances the easy living lifestyle in the Casa Marina area.

If belonging to a club isn't your thing, nearby Higg's Beach is free. Doggie Beach and Louie's Backyard and the After Deck Bar one block away from 701 Washington Street. Salute` on the Beach is a much cheaper place to eat, and the views are always interesting. You can even walk over to Duval Street, it's just a couple of blocks to the west. Being able to go wherever you want whenever you want is priceless.

 Just listed by Preferred Properties (that's where I work but this is not my listing) 801-807 Fleming Street in Old Town Key West.  I dug deep into the old shoe box and found photos taken back in 1965 that show the houses as they existed then. This was during a period where much of Key West had been neglected for years. The houses were updated several years ago and then significantly updated just recently.
