Key West By the Sea is a professionally managed condominium association. Monthly condo fees for this unit are $522.33 and include cable tv,
exterminating, building maintenance, building insurances, common area
and pool maintenance, security, and management. Pets are permitted. There is on site laundry as not all units have a washer and
dryer in the unit. 314C does not have a washer and dryer.The association is strong. Some of the owners here have lived at this development for decades. The rules and the way the place is managed reflect the values that have kept KWBS stable throughout the years. While owners may rent their units, they may not rent them until after one year of ownership and then the rental must be over 90 days. This has prevented the community from be destabilized by turning the condos into a resort like hotel. Don't get me wrong, it is already almost like a resort. There are two large pools and a tennis court. The spacious common areas include garden spots populated by living orchids and babbling water features. While it might look like a resort, it functions like a well maintained community.
There is a whole other world of people who arise early in the morning to run before the day gets too hot or to take FIDO or Patrice out for a walk. I snapped a couple of pics of the spectacular sunrise that occurs daily on Smathers Beach across from Key West By the Sea. As I aimed my camera to the south I noticed a figure swimming in the water. This is why so many people move to Key West - to be able to live this healthy lifestyle and experience the joys of this earth during the few years we have here. While we do get our rainy days, we have many more days like today where the sky is a kaleidoscope of colors.
