I have previously written about 904 Washington Street which is located in the Casa Marina Area of Key West. The above aerial photo was taken in 1999. The hotel and grounds underwent a significant makeover a few years later. The Casa Marina Area itself has long been reason so many locals and potential buyers have elected to buy in this part of Key West as opposed to Old Town. The proximity to the beach is obvious. But locals know that life in this area is a little more laid back and quieter than most parts of Old Town. Beside public tennis courts, the area has a wonderful new playground for children and even segregated doggie parks based on size of one's pooch. There are bike lanes and jogging paths for those who want to keep fit. Most of the gyms in Key West are located within a few blocks of this area.
